Description
This brooch has been hand-crafted in Cumbria, England from fused recycled bottle glass. Each piece is unique.
We use a variety of bottles: beer, cider, wine, gin, water… All the bottles come from our own not inconsiderable efforts to empty them, as well as from friends and family and a few local pubs.
The labels are soaked off and bottles are washed by hand. They are then broken and / or cut and each individual piece is hand-shaped. Some pieces are also painted with metallic lustres such as gold, platinum and copper or glass enamels before they are fired in the kiln.
We use stainless steal pins for all brooches.
